Daniel Lapp is up to no good again! And by no good, we mean that he is launching another music festival that promises to be every inch as stellar as all of his others. Daniel Lapp’s House of Music presents the 1st Annual Joy of Life Festival, which will take place May 24 and 25th and will feature some of the city’s finest folk, celtic, and bluegrass musicians.
Friday, May 24 - Joy of FIDDLE Concert and the BC Fiddle Orchestra CD Release (of the brand new CD “Fishcakes & Oranges”). Numerous local fiddlers have agreed to crash this party…it will be a hoedown to remember, featuring Patrick M’Gonigle (fiddle), Jenny Ritter (guitar), Eric Reiswig (Uillean Pipes), and the BC Fiddle Orchestras & Folkestra.
Saturday, May 25 - Joy of LIFE Concert featuring Louise Rose, Daniel Lapp, Danuel tate (organ), Kelby McNayr (drums), Rick May (bass), Joy of Life Choir, Folkestra, and the BC Fiddle Orchestras.
Both concerts are being held at the First Metropolitan United Church, 932 Balmoral Rd.
Doors: 7:00pm. Concerts: 7:30pm.
One Night admission: Adults - $20, Students & Seniors - $15, Kids 10 & Under - $10, Kids 5 & Under Free!
Both Nights: Adults - $35, Students & Seniors - $25, Kids 10 & Under - $15, Kids 5 & Under Free!
A full concession will be provided both nights, with proceeds going to the BC Fiddle Orchestra program.
