So this is a big deal - This month's Soul Club marks the fourth anniversary of the first night we ever did, back in 2008 at The Astoria. We threw that one together as a laugh, like "Hey, we have some soul records, maybe we should play them out somewhere" ...and four years later, it's become kind of a thing.
Back then, we didn't really know anything about this sort of business, other than what songs we liked, and honestly we still don't know much more than what cuts make us move, but somehow we're still here, and going strong - props to our homeboys in Ghost Town Soul Club (PDX) and Emerald City Soul Club (SEA) for showing us the way. We've gone through three venues, finally finding ourselves a home at the untouchably-great Biltmore Cabaret, and we couldn't be happier.
We're really proud of what our night is about and the super fun vibe that happens every time, and that's really all down to the people who come. Thanks everybody! It wouldn't have gone anywhere without all of you being into what we do and telling your friends that it's worth coming out for. Real talk, bottom-of-our-hearts kinda gratitude over here.
Now for the usual biz:

-Always needs to be mentioned: This is a pretty well-attended night...by which I mean it gets full, and line-ups are for suckers. Doors are at 9. Everybody will get in, but the more time spent inside, the better, right? Last month got wild between 10-10.30, so keep that in mind.
-DRESS CODE: As always, there isn't really a dress code, and dressing nice is nice, and it's in everybody's best interests for you to up your game...but it could be real warm. Do as you must.
