Event Description
Likely the brainchild of insomnia, Creatures of the Night is proud to present: Tail From the Rail! Featuring the auditory assault (meant in the best way possible) of Gnash Rambler, the Fiends, the Vampire Bats and Psychonauts; it’s the perfect excuse to break ALL of your ...New Year’s resolutions before you even get a chance to make ‘em. You’re welcome.
An East Van post-punk power trio to be reckoned with, GNASH RAMBLER headlines. Featuring Nick Venditti (Aging Youth Gang, LGA, Betty Kracker, etc.), Regina Michaelis (Pet Fairies, Betty Kracker) on bass, and Brad Mitchell (Facepuller) behind the kit. Eagerly anticipate a full-length follow-up to 2009’s "Nasty, Cutish and Short" called "Once And For All" in the New Year!
Providing fuzzed out 60’s support, fresh from the studio, legendary gravedigger garage rockers THE FIENDS. Featuring Tanya Van (Pat Fairies) on vocals, Chad Winquist (LGA), Marcus Lander (Motorama, LGA), Reiwart, and Craig McKimm (LGA, Piggy) on drums.
Sink your teeth into some bloodthirsty horror punk with THE VAMPIRE BATS. Founded by Marc Godfrey (Soulkid #1) and guitarist Chris Tait (The Idols, Chinatown), and rounded out by Joseph von Burthe, Shawn Killaly and Dragan Panic (Matthew Good Band), the band has spent the last year recording and have recently finished their debut EP.
And introducing PSYCHONAUTS! Delight in the sounds of the impending apocalypse as guitarist Steven Whitford (Glorywhore), vocalist Sedge Lewis (Alley Mattress), drummer Derek Fisher (the Receptionists), and bassist ‘the Wizard’ Andrew Pannekoek (the Receptionists) come together to perform their own brand of sharp, doomy garage rock. Serious energy, high volume.
Come party like it’s the end of the world! ‘Cause it just might be.
Tickets: $8 in advance (http://northerntickets.com/), $10 at the door. Doors at 8.
