Event Description
NATRON
In the seven years Natron has been DJing his sound and style has evolved as his fascination and inspiration within electronic music takes new shape and direction. Natron began DJing within the sounds of Progressive House, drawing motivation from the music being played and produced by Sasha & John Digweed, Dave Seaman, Nick Warren, and Shiloh. However, as his interest and passion for electronic music grew over the years so has his musical tastes. Fast forward now to 2010 and feeling incredibly inspired by Rolling, Funky, Minimal Grooves, Natron has taken his musical direction to more of an Energetic Fusion of Organic Techno and House, Laden with Percussion Rolls, Synth Stabs, and Smooth Bass Lines. With his inherent gift for track selection and programming Natrons' ability to move a dance floor in one cohesive sweaty groove is unmatched. With a full schedule of shows on his plate and Natrons’ addition to the Sunset Collaborations team, 2011 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for this committed artist!
J-FEUD
After an 11 year night shift of DJ'ing countless clubs and parties J-Feud has started to emerge as a prolific producer and re-mixer. Recently accepted as one of the Ginkgo Music family members James has his first release "Risky Bisciut " due out early this summer. Risky Biscuit defines J-Feud's style behind decks, playing a wide range of dance tunes from thumping Disco tracks to underground Techno crushers all while keeping his roots buried deep in House Music. As an active part of the House Music community on Vancouver Island you can hear James this summer at the Strath Rooftop, Hush Nightclub, Haus Club Events and a number of Festivals.
NICK KARMA
After a decade of practicing his art, Nick Karmazenuks' DJ skills have caught up to his already Impeccable Track Selections, leaving the door wide open for Karmas' Creativity to Flow to the Dance Floor. To put it simply Nick Karma continues to play the Freshest Sounds coming out of the House and Techno Worlds. Few styles of House are left un-touched in his sets, but don’t be lulled into a false sense of security as Nick can change it up in a split second… shifting his sound from genre to genre, All the While Keeping the Floor Pulsing with Sexy, Pounding Grooves… a Real Global Sound is the end result. The last year has seen a significant ramp up in appearances at the clubs, and parties around the Island. If you have had the chance to see him play, you know the energy created. Big props go out to key players of the House Scene such as J-Feud, Michael Mccaffery, Carson, and Natron, for helping Nick Karma carve his niche in the local scene and have given him the chance to open for favourites like Mark Farina, Tipper, Dizzy, and DJ Shine. Whats next?... Who knows. One thing we do know is that Nick's love of playing for a crowd is evident every time he starts laying down Deep, Funky Grooves. Don’t miss what comes next.
