Friday, September 25th will be an exciting night of mash-up heaven with openers Wood ‘n’ Soo of Vancouver and Small Town DJs of Calgary, Alberta. Four turntables and two DJs all night long calls for an epic night of rowdy basslines and funky old-school tunes that are sure to keep the dance floor rocking.
Mike Grimes and Pete Emes make up the team of Small Town Djs. Hanging with these dudes on any given night you will hear funk, pop, dancehall, rock, hip hop, house, breaks, club and more. No pretension allowed - only party and dance.
With Wood’n’Soo all genre borders go out the window when Wood'n'Soo hit the decks. In one set you might hear anything from modern, urban
styles like grime and electro, all the way back to '60s rock & soul twisters. Funk, hip hop ®gae also comprise a huge part of their repertoire, always underpinning the vast
array of sounds they visit in a session. Bringing all this diversity together into a
seamless flow is the key element of their mixing style.
