The TOM FUN ORCHESTRA - Tom Fun spent most of his childhood being raised by call girls, learning cuss words and card tricks from tramps, vagabonds and outlaws while developing a fondness for cheap perfume, bourbon and show tunes. He was taken under the wing of a seasoned miner who taught him how to sing gospel songs without taking his cigarette out of his mouth. Years passed and Tom set up a secret laboratory devoted to all night celebrations of musical excess and prescribed chaos. By means of their musical genius, The Holy Microphone Machine - as his band became known - began to supersonically spread Tom's message to an ever-expanding congregation. http://www.tomfun.ca
WHITEY ignores boundaries and reservations, delivering a songwriting approach that has been described as "anything goes!" Bringing a little bit of everything to their sound: ska, metal, rock and even a touch of ballads to their energized live shows, the band has toured from coast to coast, playing in every type of venue from bakeries to haylofts, from middle school gyms to unforgettable Lions/Kinsmen Hall punk shows with such artists as DOA, The Tea Party, Stabilo and Holly McNarland. http://www.myspace.com/whiteycanada
The WHISKYDICKS - Described as "one hell of a good time", The Whiskeydicks have spent the past few years carving a reputation for themselves throughout the Lower Mainland and as far away as the Yukon. What began as a couple of friends who enjoyed playing music together in front of the Deep Cove Liquor Store in North Van soon gathered momentum and a couple more members to become The Whiskeydicks as they are known today. Notorious for being a bit cheeky, their shows have been met with growing enthusiasm from audiences. With a couple of small tours and soon to be a second huge gig at the infamous Commodore Ballroom, The Whiskeydicks have just released their debut CD "I May Be Wasted". http://www.myspace.com/thewhiskeydicks
