HWAG Victoria is a grassroots group of physicians, nurses, social workers, and healthcare professionals united by a concern for human life, dignity, and the rule of law. We build community among local healthcare workers and stand in solidarity with colleagues in Gaza. Our work includes providing educational resources on the historical contexts of Palestine and the effects of colonization, advocating for Canada to uphold its obligations under the Genocide Convention and international human rights law, and sharing current, accurate information about the healthcare crisis in Gaza. We strive connect members with meaningful ways to get involved locally and in broader efforts toward justice and liberation for Palestinians.
