Listen if you’re into Burial, Andy Stott, Demdike Stare, Dominick Fernow (Vatican Shadow, Prurient, Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement), Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, Kelly Lee Owens, Boards of Canada.It’s been a busy two years since Conor Barnes and Peter Sanfilippo started their ambient techno project Left-Handed Archer. Longtime friends and musical collaborators, Conor and Peter wanted to produce and explore the kinds of music they connected with the most.
In spite of being based in Ontario and Nova Scotia, Conor and Peter quickly found a rhythm, and since 2023 have produced four releases: their debut full-length record 'These are the President’s Weapons', and the experimental EP 'Be You A Mere Instrument', their sophomore album 'The Animal Vector', and their latest project, the emotive and wide-spanning album 'A Blue Arctic'.
Across seven tracks and a tight 33 minutes, 'A Blue Arctic' blends moods both nostalgic and foreboding and beats both menacing and relaxing. Listen while oceans rise and glaciers melt.
