Kingstonist, your go-to local news source is expanding to bring you even more coverage of Kingston and the surrounding areas!

Kingstonist Radio is officially live and online here 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week where you’ll hear nothing but local music, content, and news from your favourite people in and around the region. While the other mainstream FM stations serve up recycled content from the internet, Kingstonist Radio aims to elevate, deliver, and showcase hyper-local music and news that actually matter to you, right here in our community.

The station will play music by local bands and artists and aims to showcase the rich, eclectic, and diverse range of musicians living within our communities. Kingstonist Radio’s musical library currently holds thousands of songs from a wide range of artists including favourites like Sarah Harmer, The Tragically Hip, Miss Emily, The Wilderness, The Glorious Sons, and Kasador – and you could be next!

Call for Music Submissions

Bands and artists interested in having their music added to the Kingstonist Radio library are invited to email us here for consideration.

Kingstonist Radio is also launching even more news coverage with a brand new, weekday local newscast that can be heard at 9am, 12pm, 3pm, and 6pm. Local journalist and media personality Rebecca Fryer (formerly of 98.3 FLY FM) joins the Kingstonist team as your daily Kingstonist On-Air Host and will also be appearing in your social media feeds as the host of new daily video news segments.

Rebecca says she is very excited to be joining this passionate team of local journalists and to be getting back behind the mic following a layoff and back-to-back COVID babies in 2020 and 2021.

Fittingly, Kingstonist Radio is launching on Valentines Day 2022 with the theme, “We Love Kingston”. Kingstonist is the city’s go-to independent, locally-owned online news site and is always looking for submissions of events and news items happening in your community.

With a coverage area from Brockville to Belleville, Picton to Sharbot Lake and all points in between, we encourage everyone to send in their news tips here to help us cover what matters to you in your community.
