The History of the Sault's Touch of Class Band
Mark Zorzit joined the band in May 1972 with Tony Dipasco on keys, John Brescasin on Trumpet, Mike Chindamo on Bass, and Ed Weezer on drums. They played the Moose Lodge and Friday night socials at the Steel Workers Hall on Dennis st. They ranged in age from 13-26 years old. Played many weddings for many years. Mike Chindamo left the band, moved to Toronto to go to school. They decided that Tony would play bass on keys so they remained a 4 piece for a while.
Then the Disco craze bloomed, so they hired a Bass player Frank Candido from the band Pegasus.
Ed Weezer got married and he and John were working shift work so they had enough and left the band.
They hired Jimmy Pirillo on drums. He stayed for a couple of years but then got married and left.
They hired Anthony Marrata on drums. He was studying to become a lawyer.
They hired Eugene Orlando on keys and then Tony Dipasco left the band.
Anthony Marra left and they hired Phil Rodi for a short time.
Then Frank Candido knew of Rick Deluco so they hired him...he's still in the band today.
They hired a girl (Mae Klimciew) to sing a couple of songs at the beginning of the gigs. Mae left town and they hired Kerry Beacock(approx. 1989)...she's still in the band today. In 1992 Eugene Orlando left the band and Rick Deluco through Ernesto Shiratti found Mark Allemang to play keys. He is still in the band today.
Then in the year 2000, Frank Candido was relocated to South Africa for work, so Tony Rota joined the band. He is still in the band today.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
