Fredrik Nordstrom Quintet

Last year hailed as "Swedish Jazz Artist of the Year" by the Swedish Concert Institute, Fredrik Nordstr�m is a compelling tenor saxophonist and composer who has been making exciting music in Stockholm and elsewhere for the last decade. Primarily working within the idiom of progressive jazz- with a few perceptible nods to contemporary classical music as well as rock-Nordstr�m puts equal emphasis on form, improvisation, and group interplay as he explores the myriad possibilities that jazz presents in our post-millennial, anything goes world.
