Since then she has been the biggest selling female artist in the UK, with sales of six million albums. Now, it’s time for North America to find out what all the fuss is about. Katie’s latest, Piece By Piece, showcases her mellow, jazzy and ultra-seductive style, including a version of the Cure’s “Just Like Heaven”, and a voice that can go from plaintive to funky in a single track. An accomplished performer, the beautiful 22-year-old (born in Georgia, former USSR, and raised in Belfast) displays a winsome personality onstage with a wry dash of self-deprecation.
