Panic! at the Disco
Panic! at the Disco started out as teenagers playing Blink 182 songs, but it wasn't long before the Las Vegas quartet became more ambitious. With a flair for experimental instrumentation and intimately observant lyrics, the band discovered its true self and recorded their debut full-length, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. Released last year on the Decaydance/Fueled by Ramen label, the disc holds the listener's interest thanks to a unique concept. The first half is futuristic, with drum machines and synthesizers, while the second half is nostalgic, with piano and accordion, and above-par songwriting.
