Barry Elmes Quintet

For well over two decades Barry Elmes has been recognized as one of this country’s finest jazz drummers. Well known as a composer and bandleader – both of his own longstanding quintet and as co-leader of the renowned quartet Time Warp – Elmes has won numerous awards over the years and continues to make some of the biggest and most exciting music in Canada. With a recently released fifth CD, Redshift, Elmes and his quintet offer a night of superlative acoustic jazz. Elmes’ Quintet consists of some of Canada’s finest jazz musicians Mike Murley saxophone, Kevin Turcotte trumpet, Reg Schwager guitar and Steve Wallace bass.
