The Arrogant Worms tap fans for new album funds
Canada's best known musical comedy act, The Arrogant Worms, have launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise money for a new album (

Band members are seeking $20,000 to record and produce a new full-length album. "We're aiming for 12 songs, though that number might go up or down a bit," they said. With over $9,000 already raised at the time of publication, the wheels already seem to be in motion. "We have a great producer, Aleksi Campagne, lots of great musicians lined up, and a solid bunch of songs," remarked the band. "We're hoping to have the 'Rough Mix' ready by November 2024, the final Digital album by Januaary 2025, and the CD a month after that."
And at least one song will be dedicated to the super-fans who help them reach their goal. "We'll be making a 'We Didn't Start the Fire' type song where we will sing the names of our Certified Supporters in praise." The Indiegogo lists other benefits for top supporters, including getting their name listed in the official album credits.
The Worms began at Queen’s University in 1991 when Chris Patterson, Mike McCormick, and Trevor Strong, members of the student cabaret group, The Queen’s Players, started writing songs and sketches for CFRC. Since then, the trio has toured ceaselessly and released 13 albums. Their songs have been played on the radio, the internet, and in outer space, on the space shuttle Endeavour. They performed most recently in Kingston at The Broom Factory on October 20, 2023 (
