Curt's love for music began at a young age when his father exposed him to iconic rock bands like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and The Who. These influential artists sparked a deep connection within Curt, igniting his desire to pursue a career in music.

Self-taught and driven by his desire to write songs, Curt delved into learning power chords, barre chords, and basic chord structures from bands like Nirvana, Silverchair, and The Smashing Pumpkins. With time, he gained the confidence to share his original compositions with his musician friends, who were impressed and excited about his songs. At the age of 16, Curt co-founded the band Beautiful Inferno with Mike Brown (Days of Thieves, Suns of Static) & Andrew Tuijtel (Beat up Trucks). After dedicating 10 years to writing and performing with bands, Curt has been focusing on collaborative recording projects for the past 5 years.

After dedicating ten years to writing and performing with bands, Curt is now gearing up for an exciting new phase in his musical career. In 2024, he plans to explore the path of a content creator, focusing on creating short-form content for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Building upon the success of his "Riff Bank" video series, Curt aims to enhance the production value of his content. His upcoming projects include guitar playthrough videos, humorous music-related content, reviews, and promotional videos for his radio show “Stomping Grounds” on CJAI 101.3.
Additionally, Curt intends to collaborate with local guitar builders, offering demonstration videos and promoting their brands. With improved equipment and lighting, he aims to produce high-quality content that resonates with his audience. While he plans to step back from other projects in 2024, Curt will embark on a collaborative video performance project with a former band, revisiting their old songs and filming performance videos.
