Come and enjoy a lively, festive jazz concert that breathes new life into beloved Christmas classics, with Attila’s arrangements that will make familiar songs feel fresh and exciting! The band will also play jazz standards, cozy ballads, vibrant and enchanting music from Chick Corea, Brazil and Hungary, as well as Attila’s evocative original compositions.

Attila’s rhythm section will consist of the beautifully swingin’ ‘Gentlemen of Jazz’: Joey Smith on bass and Kelby MacNayr on drums. Miguelito Valdes will add his musical grace and fire to the mix on trumpet and percussion, and Attila will be on piano leading the charge, with his exciting, rhythmic and lyrical touches. Featured guest vocalist Edie Daponte will perform a few captivating songs to add a new layer to the evening.

Attila Fias, a Hungarian-born, Toronto-raised platinum-selling pianist and composer who makes his home in Victoria BC, is renowned for seamlessly blending various genres of music with jazz. Recognized for his spectacular and pyrotechnic playing, critics also praise him as a lyrical piano interpreter breathing new life into others' works. He has performed on prestigious stages worldwide and collaborated with numerous internationally acclaimed musicians.
