Frank Ryan was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland.

Brought up on a wide range of music from The Beatles and Bob Dylan, to Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder, he was inspired to pick up the guitar and sing. By his mid teens, he was performing all over Dublin’s notorious bar scene. Finishing off his formative years working as a session musician in London, England, he then set off for North America.

After working as a musician in Toronto and New York, he began to explore the continent, finding his voice as he moved through bars, clubs, and roadhouses. He ventured west to Los Angeles, where he continued to hone his craft. Through blending the blues and soul of his life with subtle homage to his musical heroes, he has crafted a sound that is all his own.

Frank Ryan's music has been described as “soulful rock” with hauntingly powerful and melodic vocals.
