On Saturday October 3, Classic Albums Live brought Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours to Base 31's RBC stage in the Drill Hall for a special “home show” that was as much a celebration of the music as it was a homecoming.

The audience was all in as the Classic Albums Live team performed the iconic album in its entirety. Following a brief intermission, the musicians returned to the stage for a collection of Fleetwood Mac hits, spanning deep cuts and beloved fan favourites.

While the Classic Albums Live lineup is always packed with talent, this particular show held special meaning for former Belleville resident Clifton David Broadbridge, who was celebrating a homecoming of his own.

Since relocating to Nashville to immerse himself in the music industry, Broadbridge has gone on to perform on increasingly bigger stages. It’s hard to imagine that not so long ago, he was spending his evenings playing music at Calories Café in Belleville. Though the café is long gone, those humble beginnings remain part of his story.

Broadbridge shared how wonderful it was to be back, recounting that his mom picked him up at the airport and even bought him a new pair of shoes! It was a heartwarming reminder that no matter how far you go or how big the stage gets, there’s nothing quite like coming home. And, of course, moms are pretty great, too!

Classic Albums Live shows are always a treat, and we’re already looking forward to their return. However, it seems Broadbridge is preparing for an exciting new chapter. The Roger Waters LEGACY Tour, a Pink Floyd tribute production, has announced that he has been selected to join the LEGACY team for its upcoming tour.

Congratulations, Clifton! We will be cheering you on, wherever the music takes you next.
