Kingston Live has been nominated for a 2022 Canadian Live Music Industry Award. The Awards are presented to honour individuals and organizations that have made a significant contribution to the Canadian Live music industry in the past year. Presented by El Mocambo in partnership with Canadian Music Week (CMW) and the Canadian Live Music Association (CLMA), Kingston Live's Canadian Live Industry Award nomination is #ForTheLoveOfLIVE Award in the Organization/Company category. There are sixteen award categories in total. This year's in-person awards show will take place on June 10, 2022 at the El Mocambo in Toronto as part of Canadian Music Week, and will be hosted by the legendary Jully Black. Kingston Live volunteers will attend the event.

The nomination recognizes Kingston Live for keeping the spirit of—and desire for—live music alive in Kingston throughout the many weeks and months when regulations prevented live music performances by elevating the stories and profiles of the many local artists who both live in and earn income by performing regularly in the city.

We look forward to celebrating with you!” The notice explained that the awards show will feature performances from some of Canada’s hottest musical talent, as well as the presentation of the awards, and “...is typically attended by the who’s who of the Canadian live music industry.”
